In these terms, “we” means The Hemp Cooperative, družstvo. “You” means whoever ordered the service.
How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy: for the Scéna chat on Kubinska-Scena.Life, for the rehearsal room on the Elevator_Studios.DK website.
We may change these terms. We announce any change on the website and by email, and for the chat also in the app, at least 14 days before it takes effect. Contracts concluded before the change are governed by the origi-nal wording. A rehearsal room slot you have already paid for is governed by the wording valid on the day you ordered.
Anything these terms do not cover is governed by the law of the Slovak Republic.
PART A · THE SCÉNA CHAT [MATRIX]
Chat.Kubinska-Scena.Life is a paid number-independent interpersonal com-munications service (NIICS) run on the [matrix] protocol. The service provides access to the private communication server Kubinska-Scena.Life, including end-to-end encrypted chat, voice and video calls, rooms and file sharing through a client app (e.g. Element X, FluffyChat, etc.).
The Provider is a micro-enterprise providing solely a number-independent interpersonal communications service. According to the statement of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (Úrad pre reguláciu elektronických komunikácií a poštových služieb) of 11 September 2026, the service is not subject to a general authorisation or to the notification obligation under Section 10 of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. In accordance with Article 98 of Directive (EU) 2018/1972, we inform the member that the specific end-user rights under the Act on Electronic Communications do not apply to the service; consumer rights under general legislation remain unaffected.
Federation with external servers is not provided—this is a closed server. Members’ data stays exclusively on the Provider’s server in Slovakia.
The service contract is concluded when the membership fee reaches the Provider’s account. Payment is made by bank transfer using the QR code (PAY by square) shown when ordering. Before paying, the member must agree to these Terms and Conditions and to the processing of personal data.
Prices are final, incl. VAT.
The member (consumer) has the right to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason within 14 days of concluding it. Withdrawal can be sent by email to Office@Kubinska-Scena.Life. The Provider refunds the amount paid within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal and deletes the member’s account, including messages.
If, during the 14-day period, the member expressly asks for the service to start and actively uses it, the member agrees to lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided. If the service has been partly used, the member is entitled to a proportionate refund.
The member can end the membership at any time by not paying for the next period, or by email. Access stays active until the end of the paid period.
7 days before the end of the paid period, the Provider sends a payment reminder by email and a notice in [matrix]. Membership is renewed by a payment with the same variable symbol. If the payment does not arrive within 10 days of the end of the period, the account is permanently deleted, including messages. The Provider refunds any payment received after deletion; rejoining is only possible with a new order (a new account).
If a new person becomes a member on a member’s referral and pays their first membership fee, the Provider extends the referring member’s member-ship by one month free of charge. The new member gives the referring member’s [matrix] address (@name:kubinska-scena.life) in the Welcome room or by email to Office@Kubinska-Scena.Life within 14 days of paying. The extension is credited after the new member’s 14-day withdrawal period has passed; it cannot be paid out in cash or transferred to another person. The Provider may change or end the referral programme at any time; exten-sions already granted remain valid.
Content created by members in rooms remains their property. The Provider acquires no licence to the content of communications.
Messages are end-to-end encrypted—the Provider has no access to the con-tent of communications and bears no liability for it. The Provider is responsible for the professional set-up and availability of the infra-structure. Compensation for damage is limited to the price paid for the relevant period.

Prices are final, incl. VAT for private individuals and excl. VAT for businesses and entrepreneurs.
When you may play loud and when only on headphones is set out in the House Rules.
1. You choose and order your slot on the Elevator_Studios.DK website.
2. Before submitting, you confirm that you agree to these terms and to the House Rules.
3. We hold your slot for 2 hours from when the order is created. Nobody else gets it in that time.
4. The contract is concluded when we match your payment to your order. We email you the confirmation and the invoice.
5. You don’t pay for the Teaching Window or the first rehearsal. The con-tract is concluded when we confirm your slot.
To cancel, post a message starting with //Storno in your band’s room in the Scéna chat and give your VS. This is the preferred way. If you can’t use the chat, write to Office@Kubinska-Scena.Life from the email address you gave in your order, and give your VS.
How much we refund depends on how many hours before the start of your slot your message reaches us:
What counts is the time your message reaches us (//Storno in the chat or an email), not when we process it.
We email you a credit note. We send the money to the account the payment came from, within 14 days of your message.
Even if you are no longer entitled to a refund, let us know. We’ll free up the slot for others.
For the Teaching Window, cancel as early as you can so another tutor can have the slot.
This only happens in exceptional cases, for example a fault, a breakdown or a power or internet outage. We get in touch as soon as we know. You choose: we refund you in full, or you pick another free slot. This also applies if a fault in the lock won’t let you in.
We hire you equipment and related services for a precisely agreed slot, for your leisure activity. Under Section 19(1)(l) of Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on Consumer Protection, as a consumer you therefore cannot withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The cancella-tion terms apply (article B7).
The House Rules form part of these terms and of the framework contract. They hang by the rehearsal room door and are on the website. In the event of a serious breach, we may end the rehearsal without compensation and refuse further bookings.
At our place, covers are learned and rehearsed using legally purchased materials: sheet music, JamKazam tracks, you name it. This does not apply to the Teaching Window. Recording and broadcasting other people’s songs is governed by the law.

We are not required to appoint a data protection officer (DPO).
We only collect what we need for your membership, your invoice and the chat. We don’t need your real name.
We don’t sell or rent your data or use it for advertising. It only goes to these recipients:
Chat data never leaves our server in Slovakia. We process all other data in the EU and the EEA. Google (via FEEL WELL), Hostinger and their sub-processors may process some data outside the EEA, for example in the USA. They only do so with the safeguards required by the GDPR, that is under a Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
Write to Office@Kubinska-Scena.Life. We reply within one month. For com-plex requests we may extend this by two more months, and we will tell you why.

No tech talk. A five-minute read.
[matrix] is an open protocol for chat. No company owns it, just as nobody owns email. Anyone can run their own server, and Kubínska Scéna runs one: Kubinska-Scena.Life. The server is the stage. On it stand people who know each other, or want to, off screen too.
It looks like @name:kubinska-scena.life. There’s no public sign-up: once you’ve paid, you get an email with a link where you choose your name and password.
Elevator_Studios.DK clients get [matrix] for free. We send them an account link after they book. While bookings are switched off, just tick “I’m an Elevator_Studios.DK client” when you pre-register.
You connect to [matrix] through an app, most often Element (phone, computer or browser), or FluffyChat or Cinny. When you sign in, enter Kubinska-Scena.Life as the server, not matrix.org.
On Android, also via F-Droid. If Element X won’t connect to the server, use classic Element: App Store · Google Play.
You download the apps straight from their maker (element.io), not from us. On a phone, just tap the QR code.
Everything happens in rooms: group rooms and private one-to-ones. A room is like a table in a café: you decide who sits at it. Not an algorithm. A new account joins the Welcome room by itself; any other rooms you set up yourself. You can invite friends: send them a link to Kubinska-Scena.Life. For everyone who becomes a member thanks to you, you get a month of membership free.
Besides chatting, you can call—voice and video. Calls are end-to-end encrypted, just like messages. Picture and sound go directly between devices (peer-to-peer) and don’t pass through the server.
Messages are end-to-end encrypted. Your app holds the keys, not the server. When you first sign in, save your recovery key. Without it, if you lose your phone, you lose your history, and nobody can restore it. Not even us.
It sees who writes to whom and when; without that, it couldn’t deliver messages. It can’t see the content of encrypted messages. It shows no ads, recommends nothing and sells nothing.
[matrix] servers can link up, like email across domains. The Scene doesn’t: federation is switched off, and your data stays on our server, hosted in the EU. You talk with members of the Scene, not with the whole world.
